This breed is found in the northwestern portion
of Ukraine and is kept primarily for milk production. The Ukrainian
Whitehead originated in the end of the 18th century and the beginning
of the 19th century from Dutch cattle, primarily Groningen Whitehead,
brought by Mennonite settlers crossed with the Ukranian Grey and the
Polesian.
